Commercial Insurance Lines Representative

Columbus, MS

Are you a client-focused professional who thrives on building relationships and delivering exceptional service? Our client is seeking a Commercial Insurance Lines Representative to join their dynamic team and be the trusted advisor to their valued clients.

In this role, you will provide daily service and support to commercial insurance clients, assisting them with policy changes, renewals, billing questions, and general account management. You’ll work closely with producers and insurance carriers to secure the best coverage options and ensure clients’ needs are met efficiently and professionally.

This is more than a service role — it's a key position where you can make a meaningful impact while growing your insurance career in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as a trusted partner to clients, assisting with insurance coverage, risk management advice, and identifying additional coverage opportunities.

  • Collaborate with producers and underwriters to market, assemble, and place coverage for new clients.

  • Accurately process new applications, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations, verifying all details and ensuring timely follow-through.

  • Proactively review client accounts and conduct advance account reviews to address upcoming renewals and changes.

  • Respond to inquiries via email and phone promptly (within 24 hours), ensuring client needs are met with professionalism and care.

  • Prepare proposals, insurance documents, binders, certificates, and other client materials as needed.

  • Assist clients with claims reporting, coordinate with carriers, and keep clients informed throughout the process.

  • Maintain accurate client records in the agency management system and uphold documentation standards.

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, underwriters, and internal team members.

  • Provide exceptional service by addressing issues and ensuring timely, complete resolution to client concerns.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills — written and verbal — with a focus on client satisfaction.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and external partners.

  • A Property & Casualty license is required (can be obtained after hire).

  • Prior insurance experience is preferred but not required — we welcome candidates with a commitment to learning and growing in this field.

Why join this team?

In addition to a supportive, team-oriented work environment, you’ll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including:

  • Competitive salary ($40,000 – $50,000 per year)

  • Company-paid life, short-term, and long-term disability insurance

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • Café Plan

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Paid time off and holiday pay

  • Opportunities for professional development
